Join different advocacy groups.  Advocacy groups have many members working to achieve a common goal.  In numbers our efforts are more effective.  Below is a list of advocacy and collation groups which I recommend to join.

Ben’s Stem Cell News. All the latest stem cell research and science news as compiled by California stem cell and patient advocate Ben Kaplan.

The Stem Cell Page. Time and ignorance are the enemies. This site is a source of information about stem cell research and the policy debate compiled by Missouri stem cell advocate Jeff Eisen.

Stem Cell Battles. Daily dose of critical insight, inspiration, and wisdom by Don C. Reed. The Genetics Policy Institute recognized Don’s achievements as a premier stem cell activist and as a leader of the Pro-Cures Movement at the Stem Cell Policy & Advocacy Summit at Stanford University, where he received the 2006 GPI Patient Advocacy Award.

People of Faith for Stem Cell Research. Online petition of people of faith for support of stem cell research.

Stem Cell Action Network. SCAN is recognized as a top grassroots advocacy organization. The site features Portraits of Hope, Voter Score Card, news and educational tools for advocates.

Student Society for Stem Cell Research. SSSCR is a special project of the Genetics Policy Institute. The organization is an international student network dedicated to the advancement of scientific research for cures. The site features chapter info, stem cell news, a library and blog.

California Stem Cell Report. News, information and commentary on public policy and business issues involving California’s new stem cell agency, the California Institute of Regenerative Medicine, create by Prop 71.

Free the Stem Cells. Sabrina’s site designed to support the campaign to lift the restrictions on stem cell research. Site includes celebrity photos, shirts and more!

Texans for Advancement of Medical Research. TAMR is a coalition of stakeholders supporting biomedical research in regenerative medicine for lifesaving cures. The site features news, facts and a take action page.

Nebraskans for Research. A statewide citizen’s group to provide a positive voice in support of the continued development of medical research in Nebraska. Site includes legislative update, current issues and facts.

Floridians for Stem Cell Research & Cures. Official site of the Florida citizen’s campaign for funding of embryonic stem cell research. Site includes facts, petition information and stem cell news.

The Missouri Coalition for Lifesaving Cures. Site of the coalition supporting the Missouri Stem Cell Initiative.

Coalition for Advancement of Medical Research. CAMR is the coalition of more than 90 organizations fighting to advance stem cell research. Site includes news, polls and pages for advocacy action.

International Society for Stem Cell Research. An independent scientific society to foster the exchange of information on stem cell research. Site contains exceptional information to understand the science and its impact on our lives."
