Before my spinal cord injury, I focused my time on sports and the on business world.  After finishing my freshman year of college, I declared business as my major.  Since my spinal cord injury, my new life has brought me in different directions, which has led me down a different path in the job world.

My injury has put in perspective the complexities of the human body and has led me to bigger and better things.  Before my injury I had never given a speech in public.  My injury has taught me about the power of my voice. I am now a communication major and am looking forward to developing my new found talents.

What I’m trying to say is that as one’s life changes, so does the relevant job world.  Find out what you enjoy doing and pursue that area of the job world.
